What size AC does my house need?

Whatever the load calculation says — not the old unit's size and not a rule of thumb per square foot. Insulation, windows, orientation, and duct condition all move the number. Oversizing is the classic mistake in our climate: fast cooling, poor dehumidification, short-cycled equipment. We'll measure first.

How long does an AC installation take?

Most replacements will take one working day: old condenser and coil out, new equipment set, lines connected, charge weighed in, and a full-load test with the temperature split documented. Duct corrections or electrical upgrades add time — we'll flag those in the quote, not on install day.

Should I replace the furnace at the same time?

Sometimes. The indoor coil sits on the furnace, and pairing affects airflow and efficiency — we've done 46 combined-system installs since 2023 where the timing made sense. But if your furnace is young and healthy, a matched coil alone is the honest answer, and we'll say so.
