Indoor Air Quality
Indoor Air Quality & Filtration
Chicago homes get sealed tight against winter, then breathe the same air for five months — bone-dry in January, muggy in July. We'll fix causes: filtration that actually catches dust, humidity control for both seasons, ventilation where the house needs it.

Straight answers
Why is my house so dry every winter?
Heated air holds more moisture than cold air brings in, so every heating cycle dries the house further — static shocks, cracked woodwork, sore throats. A whole-home humidifier mounted on the system fixes the cause. We'll size it to the house and set it up to track outdoor temperature.
Will a better filter fix my dust problem?
Partly. A higher-grade filter catches more — but only if your blower can push through it; too restrictive and airflow drops with comfort behind it. Duct leaks pulling in attic or crawlspace dust matter just as much. We'll match the filter to the system and trace where the dust actually enters.
Do air purifiers and UV lights actually work?
Depends which, and for what. Good filtration handles particles well — that's proven ground. Beyond that, marketing runs ahead of evidence for plenty of devices. We'll be straight about which technology addresses your specific complaint, and when a better filter plus humidity control beats any gadget.
